Our first tap was The Town Street Tap, duly named for its location. The Town Street Tap is friendly and welcoming, focusing on good conversation, serving great beer to your table from both Tollgate and varying guests, plus a range of ciders, wines and gin. The tap has featured in the Good Beer Guide since opening as well as a consistent finalist (and 2018 winner) as Derbyshire Country Pub of Year. Reopening 15 April for takeouts only.
The Tap at No.76 offers something a little different; a traditional establishment that welcomes conversation and offers craft keg, cider and traditional cask beers, including the ever popular Ashby Pale, as well as fine selection of wines and local gins. Reopening 15 April for takeouts only.
Located in the former Southwood House Farm, Tollgate have been brewing within the Calke Abbey estate since 2012.
You can now enjoy a beer here too at our newly opened brewery tap, The Milking Parlour as well bottle off-sales and Tollgate merchandise from our tap shop. The kitchen, serving wood-fired pizzas, will open in late summer.
The Milking Parlour will be reopening on 12 April for outside drinking only. Currently not accepting bookings.
Opened in Dec 2017 this modern tap with rustic furniture showcases a range of real ales, traditional ciders, and various craft keg ales from all over the UK. Pizza can be ordered and delivered straight to your table from our friends, Halcyon, down the road. Just ask at the bar for menu.
Reopening 15 April for takeouts only.
